Chapter 1: Accent Training — The L R P T C K Method

Mastering the 6 key English phonemes through body gestures, chorus drills & video shadowing
🔤 The 6 Problematic Sounds (L R P T C K)
L — Left Chorus Sing Drill

Common Error: Substituting W/Y for L (saying yight instead of light).

Singing Fix: Sing out loud: "La la la la la! Little Lion on Lemon Lane!" Touch the tongue tip firmly to the roof behind top teeth.
R — Right Tongue Curl Drill

Common Error: Rolling R or touching palate with tongue tip.

Tongue Fix: Curl tongue back without touching anywhere. Say: "Red River runs really rapidly" 5 times fast.
P — Push Paper Puff Test

Common Error: Soft un-aspirated P sounding like B.

Action Fix: Hold paper strip in front of lips. Say "Peter Pepper Picked" — paper MUST fly forward!
T — Tap Alveolar Tap

Common Error: Heavy dental T (touching front teeth).

Tap Fix: Tap ridge behind top teeth sharply. Chant: "Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Top of the Tower".
C / K — Catch & Kick Velar Release

Common Error: Muddled back-tongue release.

Release Fix: Press back of tongue to soft palate and burst air out. Say: "Kick the Can, Catch the Kite!"
